Homemade Granola – With Coconut Oil and Natural Sugars
Our family homemade granola recipe. Made with unrefined ingredients such as coconut oil, honey, and maple syrup. Skip the refined/processed (and expensive!) granolas at the grocery store and make your own. Mix this with steel cut oats and fruit for a hearty breakfast.

6 Cups Rolled Oats
1 Cup Walnuts-chopped (pecans are great too!)
1 Cup Almonds- chopped
3/4 Cup Raw Sunflower Seeds
1/2 Cup Honey
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil (we use unrefined)
1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
1 TSP Sea Salt
1 1/2 TSP Ground Cinnamon
1 1/2 TSP Vanilla Extract
3/4 Cup Ground Flax Seed
1 Cup Shredded Coconut
1 1/2 Cup Dried Cranberries (raisins or other dried fruits are great too!)
2) In a small pan on the stove, over low-medium heat, combine honey, coconut oil, maple syrup, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla. Bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and pour into oat nut mixture. Stir well until everything is coated.
3) Spread in an even layer on sheet pans. Bake for 12 minutes, stir, bake another 12 minutes. Sprinkle with shredded coconut and ground flax seed and stir again. Bake for additional 10 minutes.
4) Remove and let cool. Add dried cranberries or other fruit before storing.
